About Me

Picture
Hello, my name is Tamara Morales and I have been married to my husband Chepe since 2000. We have two lovely bambinas, Eden Ascension & Lily Anastasia, who keep us on our toes! I graduated with a BA in Psychology in 2003 and have run a successful in home business for over five years, but recently switched gears and am now happy to be a stay at home wife and momma.

I have always been open to alternative therapies and natural ways of dealing with lifestyle & health issues. Our entire family uses herbs and other alternative healing practices when possible instead of big pharm drugs. I am an avid researcher and believe everyone should do as much for their health management as they can by having informed consent.

After Eden was born I developed extremely bad Postpartum Depression. I was on multiple medications and participated in weekly therapy sessions for over a year. Finally I just said enough was enough and took myself off the prescription medications because they were causing more harm then good. When we found out I was pregnant again it was a total shock and the first thing both my husband and I feared was that I would develop PPD again. I immediately started doing my research and found Placenta Encapsulation. I knew this would be my answer to a more enjoyable and better adjusted postpartum period.

Unfortunately, my husband thought the whole encapsulation idea was crazy at first, so I dropped it and did not seriously plan to encapsulate mine, yet I secretly hoped it would work out the way I wanted. My hopes came true because once I delivered my placenta my husband asked the doctors, at Kaiser Morse, to bag it up and he ran it home and popped it in the freezer for me with little discussion. Ultimately he knew it was what was needed to be done and supported me 100% after all. I appreciated this greatly and encapsulated my own placenta during my "babymoon". I experienced no PPD after Lily's birth and I cherished each of my capsules. Early on in my postpartum period people commented all the time about how good I was doing and looking after just having had a baby. Even strangers who knew nothing of my story noticed something of a postpartum glow, which I attribute solely to the placenta capsules.

I can honestly say firsthand that placenta encapsulation worked and made a huge difference in this special time in my life. I was able to bond better with my newborn, had more energy, and felt amazingly well despite having a more complicated birthing time and a toddler to chase after too. I recommend that every woman should encapsulate their placenta and would be honored to encapsulate yours.

Although no longer affiliated with PBi, in 2009, I was trained and became a Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist through Placenta Benefits.
